Dear Friends,

This week, Harris County received the first installment of funds from the American Rescue Plan Act. The $915M relief package represents a unique opportunity for us to invest in our residents, and help them build better, stronger futures. That’s why we have committed to prioritizing housing, health, and jobs.

Equitable economic opportunity benefits everyone in Harris County, so we must strive to lift working families to ensure all residents have access to opportunities that allow them to thrive, not just scrape by. COVID-19 has not impacted everyone equally so we must ensure the most vulnerable among us get the help they need. We must target this funding equitably if we want to see a fairer society and stronger Harris County. We need your input!

What are your neighborhood’s greatest needs?

What ideas do you have for how we can ensure that quality, accessible housing, health, and jobs are available to everyone?

Give us your feedback by completing this survey
(available in English, Spanish, Vietnamese, and Chinese).

Many families have had to make tough decisions this year with less income and resources. I want to reiterate that we understand the importance of getting funding out in a timely manner.

This ARPA funding provides us with an opportunity to invest in equitable recovery and focus on housing, jobs and health as we holistically work to meet our communities’ needs. Your input is part of making this happen, so be sure to complete the survey today.

Thank you for making your voice heard!

Sincerely,

Rodney Ellis
