Did you know there’s mondongo you cannot eat, a bed you cannot sleep on, hair you cannot braid, and monsters that exist in the real world? Join us on a magical journey as we explore artworks by Latinx artists. No reservations or passport needed, only an open mind and lots of curiosity!

While many are familiar with Mexican murals by Diego Rivera and the work of Frida Kahlo, there has been an increasingly strong contribution to the art world by many other Latin American artists over the last 100 years. The MFAH's newest exhibition space, the Nancy and Rich Kinder building, highlights its extensive and growing collection of significant art from the artists of Mexico, Central America and South America. Learn about how the Latin American art movements have developed and influenced art collections throughout the world.

Casi todos conocemos de los murales de Diego Rivera y las obras de Frida Kahlo, pero ha habido contribuciones al mundo del arte de artistas latinoamericanos por más de 100 años. El nuevo espacio para exposiciones en el MFAH, el edificion Nancy and Rich Kinder, reluce una colección impresionante de obras de artistas latinoamericanos.
