Judge Jackson carries with her the legacy of brave and bold Black women – like Harriet Tubman, Fannie Lou Hamer, Ella Baker, Shirley Chisolm, Barbara Jordan and countless others whose names are not recorded by history – who persevered in the face of bigotry, oppression and sexism to forge the path we walk today. Their sacrifices and their hard-won rights are now ours to defend as we face unrelenting attacks on our democracy, liberties, and freedom.
